Rentals at the Perrysburg Heights Community Center

The Perrysburg Heights Community Center is pleased to offer three meeting rooms, two gymnasiums, a kitchen and an outdoor pavilion for rent to people and organizations both within the Perrysburg community and outside the area.  A description of the facilities and photos are included in this section.  A rental agreement must be completed for renting our facilities.  We should mention up front that alcoholic beverages are not permitted at the Community Center.  For more information and to rent any of these facilities, contact Rental Coordinator, Jill Morse, at 419-460-0512 or call the Community Center at 419-874-4529.

Facilities available for rental*

  • Large gymnasium – full length basketball court with room for spectators.
  • Small gymnasium – a smaller gym for basketball, pickleball, or volleyball.
  • Meeting rooms (two) – each holds about 30 people.
  • Large meeting room – holds about 60 people.
  • Kitchen – available when renting the large meeting room or large gymnasium.
  • Outdoor Pavilion – with permanently fixed grills, tables and chairs.

Venue Details

The large gymnasium has a regulation-sized basketball court with room for spectators on the sides.  It has four other backboards for two concurrent games and a curtain for separation if needed.  The gym has covered holes for volleyball net posts for two concurrent games.  Basketballs, volleyballs and nets are included in the rental fee.  The gym can also be used for large family functions.  Tables and chairs are included in the rental and renters can arrange these as they wish.  The nearby kitchen can be rented along with the gymnasium.  Dimensions of the gym are 80 by 110 feet.

2 The small gym with dimensions 60 by 75 feet was added in summer 2023.   This gym has one basketball net.  It can be used for basketball, volleyball, pickleball as well as other sports.  Pickleball nets are included in the rental, but renters will need to provide their own pickleballs and rackets. The gym can also be used for family functions however no food or beverages are allowed other than water.  Tables and chairs are included in the rental and renters can arrange these as they wish.

Two meeting rooms adjacent to each other in the building addition were added in summer 2023.  Each room comfortably seats 30 people.  Chairs, tables and classroom desks are included in the rental fee and can be arranged by the renters.  Dimensions are 24 by 30 feet.

There is a large meeting room which we call the Education Room.  This room comfortably seats 60 people and slightly less if tables are used.  Chairs and tables, included in the rental fee, can be arranged by the renters.  The kitchen is next to this room and can also be rented.  Dimensions are 28 by 38 feet.

The kitchen has a refrigerator, freezer, cupboards, range, microwave, sink, dishes, utensils and more.  All of these items are included when renting the kitchen.  Renters can prepare food ahead of time or use the facilities to prepare their food.

The pavilion is on the west side of the building.  It has permanently fixed tables, chairs and grills and is free for use on a first-come, first-served basis.  However, if you are holding a special event and want to insure you have the pavilion to yourself, you may want to rent it.  Residents of the Perrysburg Heights neighborhood can rent this for free, but the rental agreement must be completed.  A port-a-potty is nearby during several months of the year.  Dimensions of the pavilion are 30 by 52 feet.

 

Note: The pavilion and all other rooms at the Community Center are under continuous video surveillance. Vandals will be found and prosecuted.

The Rental Agreement for All Rentals except the Pavilion:


PHCA Rental Agreement which starts with a one-page form identifying your organization, contact person, the facility to be rented, dates and times.  It follows with the rules and terms of the rental which must be signed.  All rentals must be approved by the Rental Coordinator or her designee.

Rental Agreement for the Pavilion.  This page identifies the renter, times and dates and includes the pavilion rules.  Although the pavilion is free for residents of the Perrysburg Heights neighborhood, renters will need to acknowledge and agree to these rules.  The pavilion rules are also viewable on a large sign at the pavilion and in the photo below.  All rentals must be approved by the Rental Coordinator or her designee.
